One of the biggest events of the year for television advertisers, the PromaxBDA Conference, is almost upon us. The June 11 event offers some amazing opportunities to learn from the industry’s best, broaden your horizons and network across the industry.
Of course, probably the coolest thing about PromaxBDA is the awards — both winning them, and seeing who wins them. Even for those who don’t take home awards at the end of the Promax conference get a chance to see the best work in the business, which is an opportunity to learn and to take inspiration for the year ahead.
There’s another opportunity to get your work seen at Promax than just winning awards, though. Part of the PromaxBDA Conference this year is the Hot Spots session, in which Promax shows off some of the coolest spots of the year. It’s an extension of Hot Spots feature each month on Promax’s Daily Brief website.
The Hot Spots showcase is currently open for entries, and anybody can submit as many as five spots for the session. That includes spots that are up for Promax awards, as well as any that aren’t included in the competition — it makes no difference. The showcase isn’t part of the awards, so you don’t have to worry about entry fees or eligibility. Just about any cool spot has a chance to be shown off at Promax.
The rules for the Hot Spots showcase are pretty easy to grasp. Spots have to be 90 seconds or less, and have to be media brands: No consumer products unless media brands are integrated with them in the spot. Entrants can submit up to five different spots, and they all need to be separate QuickTime files. More specifications are available on the Promax website right here.
Promax’s Hot Spots showcase is a great chance to try to get your favorite work in front of more people at one of the year’s biggest events. The deadline is May 4, so get your spots uploaded now!
Good luck, enjoy PromaxBDA, and as always, keep being creative!
