Typically associated with negative connotations, “In the Dog House,” is our team’s Q&A spotlight series designed for you to learn more about our crew. Each month we’ll throw one lucky team member into the “Dog House” and ask them to answer a handful of questions (in return for praise- of course!).
In the dog house this month is team member, David Sipe!
With a creative background, David is Brave Dog’s President & General Manager. While doling out client service responsibilities, he is the gatekeeper between the client, client assets, and the staff. Also a managing partner at Brave Dog, David is known for his ‘get it done’ attitude. Originally from Florida, one of David’s passions is traveling and discovering new cultures and languages (he’s pretty good with impressions). From one sunshine state to the next, here is a little more about him.
Q: What was the biggest risk you ever took and what did you learn from it?
A: I had visited New York a few times (chasing a girl), and I fell in love with it. When the one-year mark approached, I bought a one-way ticket there without having any idea of where I’d stay or what I’d do for a living. In retrospect, it was probably one of the more reckless decisions I have made to date, but it taught me that sometimes it’s better not knowing (or not dwelling on) how risky or hard something might be when it’s something you know you really want to do.
Q: Your number one guilty pleasure?
A: Banana cream pie. When I was a kid, my mom used to make it from scratch! Ironic because she hated bananas.
Q: If you could have a mediocre superpower, what would it be?
A: Just the power to make my eyes glow ominously whenever I wanted. So it would seem like I’m really powerful, but really I only make the pigmentation of my irises really reflective.. You could basically scare the crap out of everyone. This would come in very handily with negotiations.
