With summer ending, we’re seeing another competition season draw to a close. All the hard work of putting out great work and building award entries is starting to pay off, because the end of a season means one thing: winners.
In the last few weeks, several competitions have issued “shortlists,” their batches of entries that have made the cut. It’s from these lists that the big winners will be chosen. That makes the finalists who make it to competitions’ shortlists already among the best work of the year in their categories and industries. And that means that checking out shortlists is a great way not only to see who’s likely to take home trophies come ceremony night, but to learn a thing or two by example in checking out the best work around, as well as the competition.
Below you’ll a long set of shortlists from a variety of competitions, often with separate focuses. As we await the final winners, now’s a great time to check out some phenomenal work, and get ready for the next season with fresh ideas and new inspiration.
One of the most prestigious competitions in advertising, the CLIO Awards’ Shortlist is full of amazing work in a variety of categories. In addition to the traditional CLIOs, the Shortlist also includes honorees in the CLIO Sports competition, focused on sports marketing, and CLIO Music, which rewards more rhythmically focused work.
