This is what excellence looks like.
Every year, the Promax BDA North America Awards see thousands of entry submissions as advertisers and marketers in television and streaming services vie for a coveted Muse statuette. The 2016 competition is in the books, and our partners have cleaned up.
With Brave Dog’s help, our partners took home 36 Gold awards, topping their respective categories. Partners grabbed another 32 Silver awards, taking second place in their categories, and 25 Bronze, or third-place, awards. Altogether, Brave Dog’s 26 partners had 180 finalist entries throughout the competition.
We’ve been running down some of our favorite entries from the huge pool of Promax winners among our partners, and we’ve included a few of the coolest ones below. See the full list of all the excellent winners on the Promax website.
It was a big year at Promax for one of our newest partners, streaming service Hulu, which earned its first-ever Gold award. In fact, Hulu snagged six Gold awards of its 13 Muse statues. Below are just two:

Hello from Hulu
VH1 had a lot to be proud of at Promax this year, pulling down Gold after Gold for promos for its shows Dating Nakedand Hindsight in particular. This amazing promo for Dating Naked earned three Gold awards (and a Silver) all on its own!

VH1 also won Gold for this promotional item for influencers and press. We’ve written about the Hindsight Caboodle kit in the past — which was loaded with awesome ’90s gear — but it remains one of our favorite physical giveaways of 2015.

With awesome content like Game of Thrones, The Jinx and Silicon Valley in its stable this year, HBO was recognized for lots of its outdoor advertising and campaigns, like its Silicon Valley takeover at South by Southwest in 2015, which took home a Gold award. However, we’re partial to this Sesame Street key art, which won a Silver award for its copy writing.
HISTORY turned out many great promos and partnerships this year, especially when it comes to its flagship show, Vikings. This Gold-winning promo takes a fun, and funny, tone as it explores the many violent ends suffered by Vikings characters.

Partnering with Trainwreck and its star, Amy Schumer, gave Bravo the chance to have a lot of fun with promos for its shows. This one, in which Amy auditions for Real Housewives, got the judges laughing at Promax — so much that it won Gold for Funniest Promo.

At Promax, Lifetime received awards for several innovative experiential and digital offerings and campaigns. Among our favorites is the “Lizzie’s Next Victim” app, which used Facebook profile information to create custom videos for Lifetime’s “The Lizzie Borden Chronicles.” As shown in one fan’s video below, signing in with Facebook put fans on Lizzie’s hit list, a gruesomely fun idea that snagged Silver.

The hilarious sketches and great stunts of Conan received a lot of love from Promax judges, among lots of other great stuff turned out by Turner Broadcasting. Our favorite, though, is this hilarious Conan “Clueless Gamer” segment, which grabbed Gold.

NFL Network captured what it’s like to be a football fan and created a sense of community with its 2015 promos, several of which received recognition at Promax. This ad for NFL GamePass is all about that feeling on a global scale, and earned NFL Network a Silver award.

Cartoon Network brings its unique style to everything it does, which is what impressed us — and, obviously, judges — about its bumpers for Boomerang in 2015. The delightfully fun-to-watch, unique bumpers are easily overlooked by viewers, but judges knew enough to award them Gold for their art direction.
Promax judges recognized Disney repeatedly for outstanding, stylish art direction in a number of its entries, among other wins. Our favorite is the spot for the made-for-TV movie Wicked Ones, drawn from this longer music video, that took Gold this year.

It was a big year for ABC at Promax with 16 total awards, six of them Gold. Responsible for two Golds, a Silver and a Bronze all on its own was ABC’s hilarious Muppets promo, in which Miss Piggy covers Adele’s song “Hello.”
We’re extremely proud of all our partners — there are way more amazing winners than we can name here. It’s not time to rest yet, though, with the CLIO Key Art Awards deadline fast approaching. Our partners deserve more recognition for their phenomenal efforts, so we’ve got work to do!
If you want to add your work to our slate for the Key Art Awards, or any other competition, call us! In the meantime, keep being creative!
