We finally put all of those Clio Key Art Awards entries to bed. While we’d love to just sit back, relax and wait until the results are announced in October, there are still plenty more competitions (and their deadlines) quickly headed our way.
We’ve put together an awards “hit list” for late summer/early fall and have included some of each competition’s most important details.
Feel free to add some dates to your calendar, because there are plenty of competitions coming as we move into Fall!
Shorty Social Good Awards
There aren’t many days left in August, but there’s still time for you to enter The Shorty Social Good Awards. We just recently wrote about this brand new competition on the Brave Dog Blog—while the Shorty’s are generally known for excellence in social media, this one strays from the norm by focusing on social good initiatives in all forms of media. So feel free to enter your billboards, TV spots and integrated campaigns.
Description: Honors the social good initiatives brands, agencies & nonprofits are taking on to make our world a better place.
Eligibility: 1/1/2015- 8/31/2016
Entry Fees: $399/entry
Digiday Video Awards
If your team has any on-air or digital video promos, the Digiday Video Awards is a competition dedicated entirely to that sort of thing. The discounted early deadline is Aug. 20, but you have until Oct. 7 if you need more time. (You’ll just have to pay a little extra.)
Description: Recognizes the most outstanding and inspired work in branded digital video, video marketing and video advertising.
Deadline: Early- 8/19/2016, Regular: 9/30/2016, Final- 10/7/2016
Entry Fees: Early- $395/entry, Regular- $495/entry, Final- $695/entry.
If you’re looking for a competition that recognizes how you made effective use of strategy for you marketing campaign, the AME Awards might be a good option for your team to consider. The early discounted deadline is on Sept. 1, but the final deadline isn’t until Halloween. Because this competition has high expectations for winning campaigns, though, we recommend that you begin preparing your materials and writing your case study sooner rather than later.

Deadline: Early (Discount)-9/1/2016, Regular-10/31/2016

Creativity Print & Packaging
The Creativity Print & Packaging Awards are another really popular competition with our clients and many of them perform very well here. These guys are dedicated mostly to print and out-of-home marketing, so it’s a perfect opportunity for your standout key art or billboard execution to really get the acknowledgment it deserves. Creativity Print and Packaging has been open most of the summer, but the final deadline sneaked up on us again. Make sure all entries are finalized by Sept. 9.
Description: Honors creativity in print and OOH marketing
Deadline: Early-6/6/2016, Final- 9/9/2016
Eligibility: 1/1/2015- 12/31/2015
